Admission Arrangements
Students are referred to us through Advice, Support and Positive Interventions to Reduce Exclusions (ASPIRE)
This is a weekly meeting, attended by senior management representatives from schools in North East Lincolnshire, where new placements for students and managed moves between schools are agreed.
The senior representatives from Phoenix Park Academy attend this meeting to discuss possible admissions.
If ASPIRE awards your child a place at Phoenix Park Academy; a meeting will quickly be arranged for you by the Behaviour Support Services (BSS). For any BSS queries, please contact the team on 01472 323083 or 01472 323688.
In this meeting, you will meet a member of senior management to discuss your child’s needs and how we can work with you to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for them. You will be asked to fill in a small amount of paperwork; this includes:
- A Home/School contract; which sets out what support we will offer you, the behaviour we expect from your child, and how we can work together to ensure a successful placement at Sevenhills Academy/Phoenix Park Academy.
- A medical questionnaire; (see our section on medical matters).
- A letter outlining our Team Teach policy which you must sign.
- An agreement to say if you give permission for your child to take part in extracurricular activities.
We also request you give us emergency contact details for yourself and anyone else with Parental Responsibility for your child.
After this a start date will be arranged.
School uniform is provided by the Academy; this consists of two Aquamarine polo shirts and a grey sweatshirt or cardigan, both with the Academy’s logo on. Extra uniform can be purchased through the school.
